Prince George Transit
If you'd rather not walk or bike to UNBC, taking the bus is a more environmentally-friendly option than driving a vehicle. When you ride the bus, you don't have to worry about the cost of parking, or finding a place to park. Plus, you'll never have to clean snow off your car on those cold, winter mornings.
UNBC tuition includes a mandatory fee for aU-Pass, which provides all students with unlimited access to Prince George Transit during each semester.
BC Transit's Trip Planner is a great tool to help you find out which bus route to take to get you where you need to go.
Click here for bus schedules and maps, or download the PG-Transit mobile app.
For those who don't have a U-Pass, single tickets and monthly passes can be purchased at the UNBC bookstore, and at other locations in the city.
Taking your bike on the bus
PG Transit's bus fleet is bike-friendly. All buses are equipped with a bike rack. If you're unsure how to use the bike rack, you can ask the driver and they will help you. This is a great option for when you want to bike home at the end of the day but you'd rather get a lift up the hill in the morning, or if you'd like to go for a bike ride elsewhere in the city and need a lift to your starting point.
