The UNBC Office of Sustainability is pleased to announce the creation of a Sustainability team called the "G-Force" representing staff, faculty, and students, which promotes sustainability on campus.

The goal of the G-Force is to implement projects and campaigns that will encourage sustainable behaviours across campus, including energy conservation, resource use and waste minimization. We welcome Gs to share ideas on what our priorities should be, and what activities and communication strategies could be used to green the UNBC campus.

How much time is involved?

All time is voluntary. The team will meet once a month for an hour. Outside of these meetings you will act as a champion to help raise awareness and promote behaviour change amongst your colleagues and peers.

What kind of activities will we do?

Some programs we have run in the past include Sweater Day, Earth Hour, Green Day, and Residence Eco Move-Out. As a new team, it will be up to the Gs to shape the Force!

What's in it for me?

1) Be part of a friendly community that shares your values
2) Have access to funding for sustainability projects for your department/faculty
3) A once in a semester teambuilding retreat and annual appreciation event
4) Access to training, workshops and fun activities
5) An official letter of thanks and participation from the Sustainability Office
