Google is urging users on Windows, macOS, and Linux to update Chrome builds to version 99.0.4844.84, following the discovery of a vulnerability that has an exploit in the wild.

Microsoft published a security update for its Edge web browser that patches the issue. Edge supports automatic updates but these do not get installed in real-time on devices. Edge users may want to check for updates manually to install the security update as early as possible.

How to update your GoogleChrome browser:

  1. In the top right hand corner select the 3 vertical dots
  1. Click on Settings
  1. Click on About Chrome
  1. Update your Google Chrome to the latest version

How to update your Microsoft Edge Browser:

  1. In the top right hand corner select the 3 vertical dots
  1. Click on Settings
  1. Click on About Microsoft Edge
  1. Update your Microsoft Edge to the latest version
