UNBC is committed to ensuring the health and safety of its employees. A safety orientation is the first step to help prepare employees to make sure they are adequately trained and orientated to the work environment and to ensure they can perform their work safely, and in a safe environment.
This orientation applies to all employees new to UNBC, employees who have moved departments or have been given new responsibilities and employees returning to the workplace after an extended absence.
A Safety Orientation Checklist is required for all faculty, staff, research assistants, teacher assistants, student workers, visiting scholars and post-doctoral fellows.
Please note that many of the training modules are to be completed online and accessed through the Human Resources Training and Development webpage
