The Natural Resources and Environmental Studies Institute publishes an Occasional Paper Series, a Research Extension Note Series, and a Technical Report Series.
NRESi Occasional Papers are peer-reviewed publications of papers and symposia sponsored or produced by members of the Institute. They provide an outlet for position, idea, concept, and opinion oriented papers. In addition, each spring NRESi (with the support of a Northwood Pulp & Paper (now Canfor) endowment) hosts an Annual Lecture Series and written versions of the presentations are often published as part of this Occasional Paper Series.
NRESi Research Extension Notes are peer-reviewed publications of the research findings of NRESi members and of graduate students in the NRES Graduate Program. This series is intended to provide an outlet through which Institute members can make their research findings available to a non-technical audience.
NRESi Technical Reports are comprehensive final reports of research projects. They contain results relevant to the region and the broader research community. This publication series creates an opportunity for NRESi members to make their research results available in a unified form.
NRESi members or NRES Graduate Students interested in submitting a report to one of these series should contact nresi@unbc.ca. Links to the submission guidelines for each series can be found below:
