The UNBC Herbarium holds donated student collections that are used for teaching purposes. It also contains a master herbarium which contains many samples donated by the Royal BC Museum, some of which are from the 1940's and 1950's. Mounts from the master herbarium are sometimes used for teaching, but have also been used for research. There is a cone collection, a fruit type collection, and a Fungi/Lichen collection. The herbarium stores plant presses as well that are used by many classes.
The David Douglas Botanical Garden Society Library is also located in the herbarium.
