Research Associate

Start Date of Position: June 1st, 2023. The successful candidate will be expected to work between 80-120 hours over the term of the position. 
Job/Project Description: This position will support research and knowledge translation activities related to Nursing, Allied Health, First Nations, Inuit, and Metis public health including identifying, analyzing, synthesizing, and disseminating scientific, Indigenous and other knowledges to promote and improve the use of evidence in public health decision-making, policy and practice.
Specific Skills Required: 
- Identifying, analyzing and synthesizing scientific, Indigenous, and other knowledges for print and web publication, including journal articles, literature reviews, and other educational materials or tools;
- Preparing research proposals, grant applications, and research ethics applications;
- Providing research support (quality assurance and peer review process);
- Preparing research for presentation at academic conferences and other events;
- Other research and knowledge translation duties as assigned.
