NMP Class of 2021 at the Stellat'en Wellness Centre. Every year, the NMP Year 1 class spends a day visiting a rural community health facility and an Indigenous health centre outside of Prince George.

Located on the beautiful UNBC campus (Prince George), the Northern Medical Program offers students the opportunity to pursue their studies in a friendly and intimate setting. With its smaller class size (40 students), the program provides students close connections with our faculty and physician preceptors, with an emphasis on rural and generalist training.

Throughout the year, students also have the chance to undertake numerous rural health and northern living experiences as part of extracurricular shadowing opportunities, Indigenous cultural experiences, and NMP/student social activities.
