A double win for NMP students!

In the annual Prince George Iceman held in February, Class of 2026 student James Sader and Class of 2027 student Juliette Davies each took top place in their respective categories for Adult Solo Male Open and Adult Solo Female Open.

The event includes five sections of competition: Ski (8 km), 10 km Run, Skate, 5 km Run, and Swim (800 m).

“I signed up for this race with the goal of pushing myself to try new things and improve my skills with cross-country skiing and skating, and I'm thrilled that it paid off,” said Juliette. “It was tough out there on race day with the cold, but getting out of the pool and crossing the finish line was an amazing feeling. Really grateful for everyone that trained with me and all the volunteers that made the Iceman possible!”

“I trained just enough to not hurt myself I guess - that, and having fun, was the main goal,” noted James.
“The Iceman is always something to look forward to in Prince George annually. I always love seeing people rally around sport and just being outside. Can’t thank the volunteers enough for making these things happen!”

James won with a time of two hours four minutes 40.8 seconds (2:04:40.8) and Juliette clinched her win with a time of 2:16:39.9.
