Hazelton

Hazelton, also known as Old Hazelton, is a picturesque community located at the foot of Stegyoden mountain. It is part of a unique collection of communities known as the The Hazeltons which also includes New Hazelton and South Hazelton; the area has a combined population of about 8,000. Hazelton is on the traditional territory of the Gitxsan Peoples.

Hazelton is home to Wrinch Memorial Hospital which provides acute care and other services to the area, including a wide range of visiting specialties.

The town, situated on the banks of the Skeena River, has a state-of-the-art recreation centre as well as many scenic and historical places to check out! The Hazeltons “offer a unique blend of small town charm, nature, First Nations culture and pioneer history”.**
