Print, Copy, Scan

Library printer locations  

All printers in the Library are all-in-one devices with the capability to print, copy, and scan documents. Printers are located on the first and second floors in the following locations. 

Learning Commons (First Floor):

  • two black and white printers are located north of the Library Services Desk
  • one colour printer is located beside the Academic Success Centre

Second Floor: 

  • one black and white machine is located in the 2nd floor Computer Lab

Getting printing help 

See the staff at the Library Services Desk located in the Learning Commons on the Library first floor for immediate printing help. The IT Service Desk can provide in-depth help and can be contacted in person at the IT Help Desk (Building 8) or at support@unbc.ca 

Other equipment/assistive technology available:

  • One micromaterial (micro-fiche/film) scanner, not connected to printers, can save scans to USB or send to email, location: 2nd floor north-west corner near the Micromaterials cabinets 
  • One book scanner, not connected to printers, can save scans to USB or send to email, location: 1st floor Course Reserves room Rm# 5-136A behind the Library Services Desk
  • One book magnifier, location: 2nd floor, Assistive Technology Room (Study room #9, room number 5-207)
  • Desktop computer with the following assistive technology software, location: 2nd floor, Assistive Study Room (Study room #9, room number 5-207)
    • Dragon NaturallySpeaking: speech recognition software
    • Kurzweil 3000: text-to-speech software
    • JAWS: screenreader software
