Instruction Lab
The instruction lab facility located on the 2nd floor of the Geoffrey R. Weller Library is intended primarily for library-based instruction in support of UNBC curriculum and programs. Additional acceptable uses are library-related meetings, library staff training, and other library-sponsored or academic support activities. Library-based instruction will take precedence over other activities at the beginning of each semester.
- When not in use the room is available for use by students with a valid network account.
- UNBC-affiliated groups or community members requesting a library facility for instruction or meeting purposes should contact the University Library (September - October, January - February, and May) or Conference Services (all other times).
- Food and drink are strictly forbidden in the instruction lab.
Computers for Alumni/Public
The library provides four (4) publicly accessible computers located in the 1st floor Learning Commons space. These computers use a generic login to enable non-UNBC affiliated users to access the library’s catalogue to search for physical material and to conduct research in the library databases.
- These computers are available for use only during the library's open hours, despite the Learning Commons space being open 24/7 to UNBC students and staff.
- When the library is closed, Security staff may ask you for your UNBC ID card; individuals without it will be asked to leave.
- Food and drink are strictly forbidden at all computers.
If you experience any issues in the 1st floor Learning Commons space after hours, please contact Security at 250-960-7058.
