Drs Petticrew, Owens and Déry have work collaboratively at the Quesnel River Research Centre since 2006 . Their work focuses on landscape ecology and hydro-geomorphological research and teaching. The main focus of their work at this time centers around:

- - The role of salmon as vectors of marine-derived nutrients
- - Hydro-meteorological monitoring in the Quesnel watershed
