Dual Credit Program for High School Students
Looking to get a head start in engineering? Grade 11 and 12 students in British Columbia may be eligible to take post-secondary courses and receive credit toward both high school graduation and post-secondary credentials. Applications for Fall and Winter dual credit open in late February, and tuition and eligibility requirements may apply.

The following Dual Credit courses meet requirements for BASc in Engineering programs:
- CHEM 100-3: General Chemistry I
- CHEM 101-3: General Chemistry II
- MATH 100-3: Calculus I
- MATH 101-3: Calculus II
- ENGR 117-3: Engineering Design I
- ENGR 110-3: Technical Writing (Dual Credit available Fall 2025)
Direct Entry Transfer into Second Year of Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) Programs
UNBC has agreements with numerous BC colleges to transfer with your certificates and diplomas into the second year of our BASc programs in Civil or Environmental Engineering.

International Baccalaureate Transfer
Students who are awarded an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma may be awarded up to 30 credit hours of transfer credit upon receipt of the official transcript from the International Baccalaureate headquarters. Students who are awarded the diploma must have an overall standing of four, with no course below a three.
