Recognizing the existing challenges related to housing and the implications of these issues to the social and economic health of the community, the District of Vanderhoof initiated a study to examine the local housing market as well as current and future housing needs in the community.

This project was initiated by the District of Fort St. James with a view to identifying opportunities around which to build capacity and diversify the economy.

The Dialogues on Readiness project was developed by the Community Development Institute (CDI) at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC).
