About the Program
The Master of Science in Business Administration (MSc BA) at UNBC is designed for students who wish to pursue a career in business in positions that demand both extensive knowledge in a specialty area as well as excellent quantitative and qualitative research skills. Some of these specialized fields include: Finance, Human Resources, Organizational Behaviour, Marketing, Operations Management, International Business.
Graduates may pursue positions in consulting, business, government, and research institutes, or will pursue further study in doctoral programs of business. Students are encouraged to study and conduct research across two or more specialty areas in business, for example: finance and international business, or marketing and organizational behaviour. Class sizes are small, and the environment friendly, with outstanding opportunities for interaction with professors and other students. Timeline to Complete
The Faculty of Business and Economics accepts application from October to December each year. Please note that it can take up to six weeks to review applications. There is only the one intake each year with classes beginning in September. The typical timeline for degree completion is two years.

What is the difference between an MSc BA and an MBA?
Master of Science in Business Administration
- Gain extensive knowledge in a specialty area as well as excellent quantitative and qualitative research skills
- Work with a supervisor who specializes in the student's desired area of research interest with a committee of mentors to provide leadership and expert knowledge.
- Students conduct leading-edge research culminating in a Thesis that is presented at the end of their studies
- Graduates may pursue positions in consulting, business, government, and research institutes, or will pursue further study in doctoral programs of business
- This is a full-time program with classes and research conducted during regular school hours
- The MSc BA is usually completed in two years (with 30 credit hours)
