UNBC email and account information

Applicants can access important resources early in the application cycle, as well as use our secure email communication for their admission decisions and important information about their application to UNBC.

Overview

UNBC Email

Once you have submitted your application and our office has completed an initial review, you will receive an email from our Information Technology Services (ITS) office with instructions on how to access your UNBC account and mailbox.

If you are an alumni of UNBC, please DO NOT use your alumni email.  You must use your student email address to sign up to the dashboard.  IT will have reset your student email address to AD in order for you to access your dashboard if you did not receive notification from IT.

If an applicant has multiple UNBC email address (staff/faculty/alumni), please use your student email address that IT has sent to you. You will be required to use your student email to login applicant dashboard (e.g. teststudent@unbc.ca).

Many UNBC systems/services (including your email account) use Microsoft 365 Single Sign On (SSO). When prompted for a username/email address, please enter tests@unbc.ca (Note: this is your UNBC email address)

You will need to register for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on your account within 30 days after account creation to access systems/services through M365 SSO. To avoid potential issues with account access, please register for MFA as soon as possible:

If you have any issues activating your account or registering for MFA, please do not hesitate to contact the UNBC IT Service Desk.

Tip: If you have not received an invitation to access your UNBC student email account, check your spam folder and contact us if you cannot find it:
