PASS Leaders
PASS Leaders are selected for a mixture of content knowledge, academic experience, and leadership abilities. It is preferred that PASS leaders have taken the course and have experienced PASS as a participant. The selection process is a collaboration between the course instructor and the ASC. Prior to leading sessions, all peer leaders attend a full day of training in group facilitation, learning strategies, and PASS theory. The PASS sessions are monitored by ASC staff to help the leaders develop and to ensure a high quality experience for participants.
Application Process
Interested students are encouraged to talk to ASC staff (email asc@unbc.ca or visit us in the Learning Commons, 5-139G) to determine which courses will be supported by SI and to submit an application. The application package should include a cover letter, resume, and an unofficial transcript. Please include a UNBC faculty reference.
