The Restorative Relations and Student Supports (RR&SS) department works collaboratively with faculty and staff to identify, support, and respond to concerns about students who may be experiencing distress or facing challenges in their academic or personal lives. As key members of the UNBC community, your role in recognizing and addressing these concerns is invaluable. The Early Assist form is a simple and confidential way to refer students who may need additional support.
Our team tailors services to meet each student's unique needs by:
- Connecting students to appropriate on- and off-campus resources.
- Working with students to develop personalized support plans with clear goals and outcomes.
- Offering restorative options to facilitate conversations, transform conflicts, and foster healthy relationships.
- Acting as a guide for students navigating the complexities of post-secondary life.
- Partnering with faculty and staff to streamline the referral and assistance process.
- Providing a non-judgmental, confidential space for students to explore their concerns and determine next steps.
By using the Early Assist form, you can quickly and effectively link students to the supports they need, ensuring that no concern goes unnoticed. Together, we can help create a responsive and inclusive environment where all students can thrive.
