Sharing Lived Experiences by Cultural Truth Telling

Elder Joan Morris, a residential school survivor, will speak about her lived experience being sent to the Nanaimo Indian Hospital after assaults faced as a student at Kuper Island Residential School. Her son, Cyril, will also present and speak to the generational trauma as well as his grandfather's one day experience out of the years at Nanaimo Indian Hospital. The presentation will end by a ceremony performed by Elder Morris.
