Aim:
Introduce an approach to develop and implement information/data quality management programs, using quality improvement and evaluation methods in alignment with Canadian health information standards.
Description:
In this half day workshop, participants will gain understanding and hands-on experience with a framework that combines information governance principles, the health information management lifecycle, information quality dimensions, evaluation tools, and quality improvement methods to develop an information/data quality management program aligned to objectives and priorities.
Learning Objectives: By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Explain what information governance is in healthcare
- Identify ways that health information standards, program evaluation, and information governance methods can be used to improve data quality
- Apply a variety of tools and methods to develop their own information/data quality management program/plan.
