Important Safety Notice for Food Services Customers
As a precautionary response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Food Services will be implementing the following service delivery changes. They are effective Monday, March 16:
Agora Dining Hall
- All self-serve buffet stations will close and a Chartwells Associate will assist guests with service.
- All self-serve beverage stations will close and bottled beverages will be provided.
- MyPantry and Menutainment will close and Chartwells Associates will serve guests from other stations.
- Reusable cups and containers will not be permitted. Disposable plates, cups, bowls, and cutlery will be used.
- Fruit, baked goods, and sandwiches will be individually wrapped.
- The soft-serve ice cream machine will not be operating.
We encourage you to reach out to a Chartwells Associate if you are looking for something in particular. Associates are willing and able to freshly prepare and stock items upon request.
Tim Hortons and Stackers Market
Morning opening hours remain the same but both will now close at 3:00pm Monday to Friday.
Catering Orders
All catered buffets will be adjusted to an individual service rather than self-serve. Therefore, coffee/tea urns, water jugs, and soups will not be provided. Buffets will be set with single items such as bottled beverages and individually wrapped sandwiches/baked goods/salads. Disposable plates and cutlery will be used.
To avoid cross contamination, please do not supplement buffets with outside food items. Chartwells Associates will be reaching out to confirm service delivery.
If you have any questions about your catering order, please email catering.coordinator@unbc.ca.
The health and safety of students, staff, faculty, and guests is top priority. These changes in service delivery have been set up as a pre-cautionary measure. You can also do your part by practicing good hand hygiene. Please wash your hands with hot water and soap before/after dining.
If you have questions, please email us at food@unbc.ca.
