Faculty appointments at the NMP

Dr. Julia Wimmers-Klick and Dr. Floyd Besserer joined the NMP team this spring as permanent faculty within the new Division of Medical Sciences.

Dr. Julia Wimmers-Klick
Senior Lab Instructor (SLI)

Julia has been with the NMP for five years as a term senior lab instructor and is now a permanent member of our team. In addition to her SLI position, Julia is also the NMP’s Co-Director for Faculty Development and Portfolio Lead.

Dr. Floyd Besserer
Assistant Professor, Department of Emergency Medicine, UBC

Floyd is an ER physician at the University Hospital of Northern BC and also an NMP graduate. He is an active teacher in our program, having taught in all four years of the NMP. His research interests are in pre-hospital care in the remote and rural context.
