Each laboratory user is required to attend the Laboratory Safety & Methodology Orientation and undergo a lab-specific orientation. This is required before the user can submit a key request. A set of orientation tools are available for supervisors, principle investigators, and laboratory managers. Once completed, a hard copy the orientation document must be stored in the Laboratory Documentation Binder. This documentation ensures that new laboratory users receive a thorough and relevant orientation to the workspace and that the supervisor has evidence of this training in the event that an injury or incident does occur.
