The program has a limited number of teaching and research assistantships available. Students may also be eligible for scholarships from the Office of Graduate Programs. We work closely with students to help them apply for external scholarships, such as from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC).
Study-abroad experiences and internships can be incorporated into a student’s program of study. The university regularly offers a number of field schools each year in which graduate students can enroll. We work with students to identify opportunities relevant to their research projects.
