Yukon College and UNBC Explore Opportunities for Greater Collaboration

Increasing educational and research opportunities in the North is thegoal of a meeting next week that will involve representatives fromYukon College and the University of Northern British Columbia.

The meeting will be held in Whitehorse and involve both presidents,other senior administrative staff, and faculty. The UNBC delegationwill be comprised of 16 people. They will be discussing opportunitiesfor enhancing transfer arrangements for students, researchopportunities, future degree-completion opportunities, and increasingcourse availability through UNBC’s Continuing Studies program.

Yukon College President Terry Weninger and UNBC President Don Cozzettowill be signing a Memorandum of Understanding at the conclusion of themeeting. Members of the media are welcome to attend.
