Women’s Basketball Coach to Pursue Level 4 Certification
UNBC Searches for Interim Coach

Loralyn Murdoch, the head coach of the UNBCwomen’s Northern Timberwolves basketballteam, will be pursuing Level 4 coaching certification from the NationalCoaching Institute. Upon completion of the program, Loralyn will be the firstcoach in northern BC to have this certification for basketball, which willprovide her with opportunities to coach at the national level.
The certification is being offered through the Universityof Victoria with former national teamcoaches, Ken and Kathy Shields, and will require that Loralyn take classes in Victoria from August toApril. She will also be working as an Assistant Coach with the University of Victoria Viqueens, winner of a nationalchampionship in 2002-03.
As a result, UNBC is currently recruiting an interim head coach tolead the women’s basketball team during the 2005-06 season.
