In one month, BC’s distributed medical education programwill begin with students in Prince Georgeand Victoria. Classes will starton January 10.

In anticipation of the start of classes for the NorthernMedical Program, the local media will have an opportunity to tour the newNorthern Health Sciences Centre and experience what it will be like to be astudent in the new program.

All media are invited to tour the new medical building withDave Snadden, the head of the Northern Medical Program. In addition to a tourof the building’s major facilities, there will be a demonstration of thestate-of-the-art technology that will link medical students at all three sites:Vancouver, Prince George, and Victoria.As part of the tour, two local organizations will also be announcingcontributions totaling just over $100,000 to the Northern Medical ProgramsTrust fundraising campaign.

Refreshments will be provided.
