UNBC Representatives Visit Vanderhoof And Fort St James Wednesday, November 21

Representatives from the University of Northern British Columbia will be hosting meetings in Vanderhoof, Fort St James, and Fraser Lake to provide an update on new developments at the University and outline new fundraising priorities.
Tom Berekoff, Director of Development, will be joining UNBC Founders Tom Steadman and Alvin Mooney, who are both volunteer Chairs with UNBC's fundraising program. The visits are outlined below:
Fort St James
8am Rotary breakfast at the Prince Café
9:30am Meeting with Mayor Togyi and Councillors at District Office
10:15am Meeting with member of the Chamber of Commerce Board at the Chamber Office
Vanderhoof
1:30pm Meeting with Mayor Fox and Councillors at the District Office
3pm Meeting with Chamber Manager Alan Forsdick and members of the Chamber of Commerce
Fraser Lake
5pm Meeting with Mayor Thompson and members of Council
UNBC is currently developing a number of new degree programs, including a collaboration with UBC to train medical doctors in northern BC. The Northern Medical Program is one of the priorities for UNBC fundraising this year, along with scholarships and bursaries, the Library, and Athletics.
