UNBC Hosts Reception For
New Member Of Parliament

The UNBC Political Science program is hosting a reception on Tuesday, January 9th to recognize the achievements of one of its students, James Moore, who was elected to Parliament in the recent federal election.
James has completed the requirements for a UNBC bachelor's degree in Political Science and will officially graduate at the May Convocation Ceremony. The reception will begin at 1pm in Conference Centre Room 205-211, located across the hall from the Canfor Theatre. The media are welcome to attend. As a student at UNBC, James was president of the Political Science Students' Association and hosted an open-line radio show on CKPG about contemporary political issues. As a member of the Canadian Alliance caucus in Ottawa, James has been appointed deputy Foreign Affairs critic and primary critic for the Asia-Pacific portfolio.
James represents the federal riding of Port Moody-Coquitlam-Port Coquitlam.
