Adam Zimmerman, a former Director of Northwood Pulp and Timber Limited, will be the next speaker in the third annual Koerner Lecture Series on Northern Development at UNBC.

Mr Zimmerman has been Vice-Chair of Noranda Inc (1987-1995), Chair of the Board for Noranda Forest Inc (1987-1993), and the Chair of Macmillan Bloedel Ltd (1983-1991). He will be speaking this week at UNBC:

Mr Zimmerman graduated with a bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Trinity College at the University of Toronto. With his BA degree in hand, he "pledged [himself] to the task of selling soap to 532 grocery stores" for Procter and Gamble. Years later, as his autobiography declares, he "steered Noranda through some of the most difficult times the economy had known since the 1930s."

The Koerner Lecture Series on Northern Development is supported by the Leon and Thea Koerner Foundation of Vancouver. Admission to Mr Zimmerman's presentation is free.
