UNBC Hosts Public Events
For National Aboriginal Day

The University of Northern British Columbia's First Nations Centre is hosting a number of public events on Wednesday, June 21, to commemorate National Aboriginal Day.

Arts and crafts display tables will be set up from 9am, featuring the work of Ron and Tracey Sebastian and local artists Heather Harris, Heather Potts, Peter George, Mildred Martin, and First Nations students. Performances are also planned from the Rainbow Dancers (9:45am), the Metis Dancers and Traditional Fiddlers (11am), and the Alkali Lake Drum group (1pm).

The activities are happening outside of the First Nations Centre at the north end of the campus. In the event of rain, activities will be held in the Northwood Winter Garden. People planning to attend can RSVP to Donna Hebert at 960-5772.
