The University of Northern British Columbia has a new internet program for students looking for off-campus housing…or for residents of the City who wish to list accommodation for students.

Residents who use the service can fill out an on-line form providing information about the type of accommodation, the rental cost, and the services available on or near the premises. There is a $10 fee to have the listing included on the web page, but students can browse the listings for free.

"Many of the UNBC students seeking accommodation are from other parts of northern BC or the Lower Mainland, so they don't have easy access to the off-campus listings in the Housing Office on campus," says UNBC Housing Manager Randall Brazzoni. "This new web page gives students the chance to find out what's available before they come to Prince George, and for that reason, it's also beneficial for the residents who list their accommodation on the new web page."

About 550 students live in the two student residences located on-campus, and both buildings are at capacity for this academic year.
