December 4, 1996 For Immediate Release

The University of Northern British Columbia will be making four courses available in Chetwynd in the winter semester, which begins on January 6th.

  • Commerce 332: Business and Professional Ethics Monday evenings
  • English 498: Special Topics in Literature Thursday evenings
  • History 320: Western United States Wednesday evenings
  • History 400: Aboriginal People in Canada Tuesday evenings

The courses will be teleconferenced from the regional centre in Fort St John, but students with access to cutting-edge technology, however, will have a few more course options.

UNBC will be making four English courses available on the World Wide Web in January. The four courses on creative writing, canadian literature, post-colonial literature, and first nations literature mark the first time UNBC has ever offered courses on the Internet.

Registration for all courses is now underway. Prospective students can contact the regional office in Fort St John at 787-6220 for more information.
