What is an Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) Letter?
A Confirmation of Enrolment Letter (COE) from UNBC is an official document verifying your current student enrolment.
This document serves as proof of your registration and is often required for:
- Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) withdrawals
- Employment applications with specific student eligibility criteria
- Scholarship applications
- Student Discounts (If proof is required)
- Immigration Applications

What is included on the General Online Confirmation of Enrolment Letter?
The letter will include:

- Credits Enrolled in Current Semester
- Transfer Credit Granted
- Total Credit Granted

- Official Language of Instruction

Please note: The General Online COE is a free service for current or past UNBC students.
Important Note for Co-op Students:
Even if your COE states "0 registered credits" during a co-op term, this doesn't impact your full-time student status. Co-op work placements are considered part of your academic program. Please contact the UNBC Enrolment Service Team via studentinfo@unbc.ca to order a manual letter.
Important Note for International Students:
The General Online Confirmation of Enrolment option may not be a good option for immigration applications (Study Permit, Renewals, Invitations, etc.). Please complete the Confirmation of Enrolment - International form, found here. There is a fee for processing this letter.
