The University of Northern British Columbia's Quesnel River Research Centre (QRRC) is located in Likely, British Columbia, Canada. The QRRC is ideally situated for both terrestrial and aquatic based research and university education. Reputed to be the deepest fjord lake in the world with a confirmed depth of 510 m, Quesnel Lake is officially the third deepest lake in North America. This river system supports four salmon species and numerous other species, including dolly varden lake char, and kokanee.
