Engineering students capture second place at national competition

What began as an interesting challenge to solve for the final assignment as part of their undergraduate degrees went on to capture attention at a national engineering conference.

UNBC to celebrate 31st Convocation

Students, faculty and staff will gather to acknowledge and honour the hard work, dedication and perseverance of graduating students at University events planned throughout northern B.C. from May 31 to June 7.

Meaningful change through action

Drawn to UNBC by the opportunity for a well-rounded education in Health Sciences, Behrouz Danesh’s future goals include improving healthcare access and quality in the region as an occupational therapist. In delivering the Valedictory address to classmates during Ceremony 1 of UNBC’s 2024 Convocation, Danesh will speak to the power of community to create meaningful change.

Strong foundation for future learning

The breadth and depth of experiences that came with pursing a Bachelor of Arts degree at UNBC ignited a passion in Will Hanlon that he plans to carry forward into law school in September. Hanlon will reflect on drawing strength and resiliency from community in his valedictory address to classmates during Ceremony 2 of UNBC’s 2024 Convocation.

Embarking on global research journeys

Thanks to funding through Mitacs, three UNBC students will be travelling internationally to work on research projects with expert faculty.
