About Us

Partnering for Change II (2018-2021) is a second phase that is continuing the important work done in Partnering for Change I, studying how networks of partners can engage with each other to transform primary health care at community and regional levels. We learned in Partnering for Change I that changing health services and systems to better suit northern people and communities takes time. Continuing research is needed in order to understand how health service improvements can be further developed and sustained.

Research Activities

In Partnering for Change II, multiple case studies will be undertaken to understand the primary health care (PHC) transformation work taking place in communities across Northern BC. These case studies will be based on interviews with individuals involved in primary health care transformation. This includes interviews with health care providers, physicians, municipal leaders, as well as members of the Division of Family Practice, community organizations, the Ministry of Health, and Northern Health regional leaders.
