 The ORTM program offers two minors:

Forest Recreation Minor

The Forest Recreation minor is arecent addition – designed specifically for students with more of a naturalresource management focus (but anyone is welcome to take this).  This minor requires students to take a totalof 18 credits – where a maximum of two courses (six credit hours) can also beused to fulfill program requirements for a major or another minor. ORTM 200ORTM 300 Elective Courses Minor in Outdoor Recreation andTourism This minor is designed to affordstudents an opportunity to gain a foundational set of knowledge in tourism andrecreation while pursuing another major. This minor requires students to take atotal of 18 credits – where a maximum of two courses (six credit hours) canalso be used to fulfill program requirements for a major or another minor. Throughout her minor she was keen to exploresome of the social and psychological dimensions of leisure experiences… a topicshe’s thinking of pursuing even further through graduate studies. Christie’s major was in……… Herminor in ORT allowed her to develop some key skills. She put those skills topractice as the owner of the historic Pioneer Hostel in Prince Rupert which she guided through asuccessful renovation project.
