UNBC alumna returns to headline 6th Annual Legacy Breakfast
Kady Dandeneau made a name for herself as a star player for UNBC's women's basketball team. She later switched to wheelchair basketball. In 2019, she played a major role in leading Canada to a gold medal at the Parapan American Games. She returns to Prince George on March 11 as the keynote speaker for the 6th annual Timberwolves Legacy Breakfast.

UNBC appoints climate change and water security research chair in partnership with NSERC and Rio Tinto
Dr. Stephen Déry is the new NSERC/Rio Tinto Senior Industrial Research Chair in Climate Change and Water Security. The $1.5 million in research funding will allow Déry to to better understand the impacts of climate change and human activity on the long-term water security of the Nechako watershed.
Research Launched to Study Health Outcomes of B.C. Wildland Firefighters
Dr. Chelsea Pelletier, a UNBC health sciences researcher, and her team will spend the next year studying what is known about the health impacts of occupational exposure to wildfires that B.C. wildland firefighters and related personnel face on the job.
