PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. – For 30 years, Dr. Jennifer Hyndman has explored the dynamics of teaching and learning, asking herself and others the questions like: How did your class go? What went well? What could you do differently?

Now, the longtime Mathematics and Statistics Professor is inviting others to reflect on those questions as part of this year’s Robert W. Tait Lecture

Established in 2007, the annual event highlights an outstanding UNBC faculty or staff member for teaching innovations that enhance student learning experiences.

“Teaching and learning are always evolving, and I’ve spent my career asking questions about what works, why it works and how we can improve,” says Hyndman. “This lecture is an opportunity to reflect on those questions together.”

Join Hyndman for a short demonstration class, the opportunity to pose those guiding questions, experience how others answer and listen as she shares personal memories of the former chair of UNBC’s Teaching and Learning Committee, Dr. Robert Tait.

The lecture takes place March 27 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. (PT) in room 8-164 at UNBC. The event is also available online via Zoom: https://unbc.zoom.us/j/63962649496?pwd=NL4Ku1oYdaZb9482c7ZK4KPrK49NMz.1.

A recording of Hyndman’s lecture will be available through the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology (CTLT) video archive: https://video.unbc.ca/channel/CTLT/
