Dr. Daniel Erasmus brings biochemistry to life in the classroom.
On March 28, the UNBC Senior Laboratory Instructor will share his passion for hands-on learning at the 2022 Robert W. Tait Lecture.
“Over the years, I have developed a teaching philosophy through my experience in teaching in biochemistry,” Erasmus explains. “To maximize the success of my students, I focus on providing a real-world context for the content being taught and using a variety of techniques to reinforce concepts. I also engage with students in different ways to appeal to their individual learning styles.”
The lecture, which takes place virtually beginning at 2:30 p.m. on March 28, is titled To Teach, Practice and Learn.
Established in 2007, the Robert W. Tait Lecture is an annual event highlighting an outstanding UNBC faculty or staff member whose teaching innovations enhance student experience inside and outside of the classroom.
