The Auxiliary to the University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC) has pledged $50,000 in educational funding for permanent Prince George residents in Healthcare Related Fields.  The Auxiliary has instituted these bursaries in honour of the health care workers who so diligently cared for their communities during the Covid 19 pandemic.  
The Auxiliary to UHNBC 2022 Healthcare Education Bursaries exist to assist in the education of deserving students enrolled in post-secondary education, in a health care field.
IMPORTANT NOTES: 
a) The Auxiliary to UHNBC Bursaries application requires a "Confirmation of Enrolment" section to be filled out by your Post-Secondary Institution.  For those students attending UNBC - you would need to complete a "Confirmation of Enrolment Form" (COE) Request (along with fee payment).  You can obtain the COE Form via www.unbc.ca/registrar/forms - processing can take 5-7 business daysAND you would need to attach the Auxiliary to UHNBC Bursary Application Form... so please start your application early.
b) Students in MScN Programs can apply for the Continuing Education Bursaries that have a "Second Year students" designation.
c) Eligibility requires applicants to be "permanent Prince George residents".  Ideally, the Auxiliary hopes to award these to students who are year round residents of Prince George and who express a future plan to practice in the north.  The Auxiliary wants to award the bursaries to Prince George residents specifically because they are aware that other auxiliaries in the north award bursaries to residents of their communities.  If students feel that they meet both of these criteria, they are welcome to apply.
