Graduates from UNBC's Northwest Campus look to uplift community

Elders, family, friends and supporters gathered to cheer on students graduating from UNBC’s Northwest campus during a graduation ceremony at the R.E.M. Lee Theatre in Terrace.

Strong foundation for future learning

The breadth and depth of experiences that came with pursing a Bachelor of Arts degree at UNBC ignited a passion in Will Hanlon that he plans to carry forward into law school in September. Hanlon will reflect on drawing strength and resiliency from community in his valedictory address to classmates during Ceremony 2 of UNBC’s 2024 Convocation.

John Buchan’s Poetry in Song, the latest album from English Professor Dr. Kevin Hutchings, fuses academic work with artistic flair and creates new opportunities for students to engage with literature.

UNBC students Sean Robinson and Will Hanlon put their diplomacy skills to the test as delegates at a Model NATO event in Germany last fall.

Three-Minute Thesis Competition

We are proud to announce that First Nations Studies graduate student, Cheri Brown, won the Three-Minute Thesis competition at UNBC and is attending the 2022 Western Regional Three-Minute Thesis Competition this week! She will be presenting on her thesis-work, "Indigenous Post-Secondary Student Lived Experience: Stories of Resistance and Alignment with Identity and Culture".
