This posting covers undergraduate courses in need of instruction from the Terrace Campus.
Candidates with a minimum BScN, MScN or PhD preferred, are encouraged to apply. Current registration as a Practicing RN with the BCCNM is required for all clinical positions and preferred for all other positions.
NURS 317 – Community Clinical Instructor: MATERNITY - 1.25 SCH Contract
Clinical Instructor – Two positions
This course takes a women- and family-centred, strengths-based approach to caring for individuals and families of diverse and multicultural backgrounds in the childbearing experience. Emphasis is placed on the integration and application of evidence-based theory, standards for nursing practice, effective communication, critical thinking and use of the nursing process to optimally prepare nurses as caregivers and collaborators with childbearing women, neonates, families, and the health care team.
The Community Clinical Instructor supports students indirectly while they undertake clinical hours at community sites, including participation in clinical orientation and student evaluation. We are in need of 1 clinical instructor for each 6-week rotation in January-February and February-April. Preference will be given for candidates located in Terrace; however, we are open to consideration of candidates outside of Terrace for this role.
NURS 317 – Acute Clinical Instructor: Maternity - 1.25 SCH Contract

The Acute Clinical Instructor will support direct clinical instruction for clinical hours at UHNBC in Prince George for Terrace students, including participation in clinical orientation and student evaluation. We are in need of 1 clinical instructor for each 6-week rotation in January-February and February-April.
NURS 318 – Theory & Practice: Pediatrics - 1.5 SCH Contract
Clinical Instructor – up to two positions
This course emphasizes the health of infants, children, and their families, with a focus on health promotion, risk reduction, disease prevention and common health problems with particular attention to northern populations and First Nations. Information and clinical practice relating to acute and chronic conditions and medical/surgical interventions are included. Clinical experiences occur in acute pediatric and selected community settings, providing opportunities to apply pediatric nursing knowledge.
NURS 328 – Nursing Laboratory – 1 SCH Contract
Laboratory Facilitator
This course provides instruction and practice in the psychomotor and critical thinking skills necessary to provide safe and effective nursing care in the clinical environment. Through case-based scenarios, simulation, short assignments, quizzes, videos and hands-on practice, students engage with and apply new knowledge and skills that are built on learning from Years 1 and 2 of the curriculum.
