Student Job Board
The UNBC Student Career Centre has updated the employer job posting request process. This new streamlined process requires employers to complete only the request form below, with no further actions.
There is a review and approval process for job postings. If your job posting is approved, it will be posted within one working day. If your posting is denied, you will be notified by email.
Note: Posting requests will be denied if determined to be suspicious in nature or incomplete.

Hosting a Booth on Campus
Set up a booth in high-traffic areas on campus to engage with students, distribute information, and collect resumes. This is an excellent way for you to increase your visibility and interact informally with potential candidates throughout the day.
Booth requests must be submitted a minimum of three (3) weeks before the event to allow sufficient time for coordination and promotion. Based on students’ availability, late September, October, January and February are ideal times to host your campus connection events.
Booking Price: $100 (Non-Profit $50)

Employer Information Sessions
These sessions provide an ideal platform for sharing your company's values, hiring processes, and potential career paths. To accommodate diverse student schedules, these presentations can be arranged during the day or evening and offered both in-person and virtually. UNBC Career Fairs
We are excited to announce the 2024 - 2025 Career Fairs scheduled for November 14, 2024, and March 4, 2025. These large-scale events provide an excellent opportunity to meet a wide range of students and alumni, discuss career opportunities, and conduct on-the-spot interviews.

Industry Events
Participate in our Industry Events, designed as targeted networking evenings that bring together students and alumni from specific faculties and professionals from corresponding industries.
Each event may slightly differ in offering, and could include a panel discussion, where industry leaders share insights and experiences, followed by networking opportunities and tabling sessions to facilitate direct interactions with students. This format is ideal for building meaningful connections, discussing industry trends, and scouting future talent in a focused setting. Light refreshments will be provided to create a welcoming atmosphere and encourage engagement throughout the evening. Proposed industry nights for both Graduate and Undergraduate Students:

If you are planning a recruitment event or an information session about careers in your field or industry and would like to promote it to UNBC students and alumni, we can feature your event on the Career Centre event calendar, listing on the Career Centre Newsletter and the Career Centre Social Accounts.
Please be aware that a lead time of three weeks is required, for inclusion in the Newsletter we must receive the information by the 22nd of the month prior to publication on the 1st of the month. Note that this service does not include event coordination or organization.

The Welcome Ceremony is the vibrant and energetic kickoff to our annual Orientation Day, setting an enthusiastic tone for new students beginning their journey. This welcome event, held in the Northern Sports Centre, features speakers from university leaders, engaging performances, and interactive elements designed to energize and welcome our new students.

Our annual Orientation Day includes a Welcome Lunch, a key event where new students gather to relax and connect during their first official day on campus. This lunch not only nourishes them but also serves as a prime networking opportunity, drawing hundreds of students each year.
Welcome Dinner for Parents $2000

An event for parents to connect with on campus resources for their students. Sponsorship covers the cost of dinner and recognition of your organization’s support.
Timberfest $5000
Date: TBD
Timberfest will be the quintessential welcome for new and returning students of all ages at UNBC. Held during Orientation Week, this event provides an energetic experience for students to engage with the UNBC campus community, forge social connections with peers, and enjoy a concert featuring awesome local bands. This vibrant celebration will be an unforgettable highlight for students as they embark on their academic journey in the North.
The Timberfest Sponsor will receive a waived standard registration fee for BOTH Career Fairs.
The UNBC Orientation Team must approve all sponsors and UNBC reserves the right to decline sponsorship requests.
Special sponsorship arrangements do require further discussion. We invite sponsors to bring an activity; but advanced notice is needed to plan accordingly and to ensure the required space is available. We also ask that you do not sell your product or services during Orientation. Some deliverables have deadlines, so please contact us right away to confirm your interest and get the best value for your sponsorship.

The Co-operative Education and Work-Integrated Learning Canada (CEWIL Canada) identifies 9 types of work-integrated learning. For definitions of each of these types of work and more information on work-integrated learning, please visit the CEWIL Canada website.
Funding
Did you know you may be eligible for federal or provincial grants and wage subsidies if you hire a work-integrated learning student? For more information on employer funding, events and webinars, and a list of employer benefits, please visit the Association for Co-operative Education and Work-Integrated Learning website.
Vendor Agreement
We do require all vendors who come on to campus to agree to our terms and conditions; this includes commercial general liability insurance up to $2,000,000 with UNBC Listed as additional insured.

Volunteer Fair
The UNBC Career Centre, in partnership with Volunteer PG, is excited to host the annual UNBC Volunteer Fair on October 23rd. This event brings together students, staff, faculty and alumni with non-profits and charitable organizations from around the region. It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn about the diverse volunteer opportunities available, engage with community leaders, and contribute to making a positive impact.
