Biography

Anurag Singh graduated in medicine from the Government Medical College Amritsar (India). He completed his postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Nephrology on an academic track at the University of Bristol, UK. His academic training included a dedicated research fellowship at the Academic Renal Unit at the University of Bristol (UK), leading to a PhD.

Anurag is a consulting nephrologist for Northern Health and an Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) in the UBC Faculty of Medicine based at the UBC Northern Medical program site in Prince George and an affiliate appointment to the Division of Medical Sciences at UNBC. His administrative roles include Medical Director of Kidney Services at the Northern Health Authority and Director of the tri-partite (UBC-NHA-UNBC) Northern Centre for Clinical Research.

He is passionate about using and understanding the implementation of digital technologies to bridge gaps in access and healthcare delivery for rural and remote areas. His research career is focused on implementing and evaluating patient-centred health outcomes with a health equity lens and advocacy for policy change.
