Biography

Dr. Xiaoxue Kong completed her Ph.D. at McMaster University and has an interdisciplinary background in Educational and Counseling Psychology from McGill University. Her research focuses on children's personality and social-emotional development, with an emphasis on parenting, family contexts, and cross-cultural variations. Her work incorporates advanced qualitative and quantitative methods and has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Kong's research continues to bridge developmental and cultural psychology, expanding to include diverse populations in Canada and beyond. She teaches Sensation and Perception, Psychology of Learning, Psychopathology, and Cross-Cultural Psychology.
