Jones, Dr. George
PhD (University of Windsor)
Biography
Dr.Jones received his Ph.D. from the University of Windsor for work that applied abstract algebra to special and general relativity. Before joining UNBC, Dr. Jones taught at Brandon University, the University of Windsor, Bishop's University, the University of New Brunswick (Saint John), West Virginia University, and the University of the Virgin Islands (St. Croix).
George's interests have focused largely on cosmology and general relativity, but recently have also included quantum field theory and elementary particle physics. He finds early universe cosmology particularly interesting because it involves thermal and statistical physics, general relativity, and quantum field theory and the standard model of particle physics. George also has great interest in the use of mathematical structures in foundational physics.
