Biography

Situated on the traditional unceded territory of the Lhtako Dene, where I was born and raised, I live, work, and raise my family. I graduated from TRU with a BScN in 2008. Since then, I have practiced in a variety of communities in acute care environments, simulation, and education. I am passionate about education and provide positive learning environments to enhance optimum learning outcomes.

I consider theoretical perspectives including cognitivism, constructivism, and connectivism as I create and deliver course material in accordance with course and program objectives.

Through dynamic learning based on experiences shared among each other and projects that foster interactive engagement, learners are supported to interpret how the internal and conscious representations of the world is understood and linked to nursing theory and philosophy. My journey of learning has led me to a Masters of Education with a focus in Adult Education, which I completed in April 2023.
